Netball

The girls have been training hard this term and have enjoyed taking their netball skills further by working on their footwork and passing, in particular. The Year 5‟s had an indoor tournament where they fought hard against some very tough competition and managed to secure a draw against the school that came second out of the 20 schools that entered. There was some fantastic play involving strong defence by Sophie Pruim and Rose Haysom, excellent shooting by Francesca Boni and outstanding movement on the court by Corynn Foote .

We have also played Raffles and Nibras this term where each of the girls in the squad had the opportunity to play. Each player contributed to the team‟s performance with continual support for each other throughout the matches. Danielle Logan showed a strong eye for the goal; Charlotte Upham and Alice Shepherd proved to be strong defence and Hannah Jones and Harriet Walton worked well on the court. Eloise Bolt has been strong in the circle as our shooter whilst Lucy Field has defended our goal brilliantly. Well done to the girls that only joined this term, they have already displayed excellent potential for next year.
I am so proud of the way the netball squad have handled themselves throughout every match or tournament. They have developed their skills by working hard as a team and are always positive, show tremendous team spirit and are an absolute asset to the school, keep it up girls!

Well done to all the girls in the team.
